Brighton is not short of attractions but each Summer sees one of the best spring up on the beach, a huge screen playing classic movies, new releases, hosting film festivals live events and, of course in 2014, World Cup matches. 50cycles were invited to sponsor Brighton’s Big Screen and we jumped at the chance.
Bill Murray runs the whole show and he also happens to be a Kalkhoff electric bike owner. His 2014 Kalkhoff has been invaluable in covering the distance between home, office and the venue down on the beach. Parking in Brighton is tightly restricted and expensive, not ideal if you need to be at a particular place at a specific time. Electric bikes are ideal for point-to-point journeys in busy urban settings. Bill told us he’d found his Kalkhoff an invaluable help in putting the month-long event together.
We were asked to provide a 30-second video which will be shown throughout the month. Here’s what we came up with, what do you think?
It’s all part of our effort to put our Shoreham-by-Sea electric bike showroom on the map as the first port of call for everyone on the South Coast thinking of riding an e-bike between Bournemouth and Eastbourne, right up into the Surrey Hills.
Electric bikes are superbly well-suited to the terrain in this area, with coastal plains rising to the Downs to the North. The cycling conditons are varied, from tranquil backwoods to buzzing city centres and historic towns. Just perfect for power-assisted cycling, whether you’re a two-wheel veteran or new to cycling, young or old.
