For 2016 the Bristol showroom will be running a free electric bike ride for all abilities. This is not a 50cycles exclusive ride, and riders on any bike may join.
The meeting point is inside our Bristol Showroom. Free safety checks can be given to all participants bikes alongside a pre-ride tea or coffee. At the end of the ride there will be complimentary drinks & food.
Time & Dates
(March – September)
First Saturday of the Month – 10:00 departure
Last Saturday of the month – 14:00 departure
Route Distance & Time
Most rides will be between 15 – 30 miles in length, with a cafe stop along the route. We recommend you put aside 2 – 3 hours in your diary to complete the ride. The route will be decided on the day, dependant upon weather and the group that turns up. The route will include very little in the way of riding with traffic, and more aimed towards cycle paths and country lanes. Please note that this is a social ride, and no rider will be left behind.
Don’t have an electric bike?
Any rider who does not own an electric bike may borrow one of our demo bikes for the duration of the ride. You will need to bring in proof of identity and we may require a deposit. Please note that the loan of a bike cannot be guaranteed, and you will have to book in advance.
What do I need to bring?
Any cyclist on any bike is welcome to our rides. Whilst we recommend wearing a helmet, it is not a legality. Hi-vis, waterproofs & lights are recommended for wet weather rides. We recommend bringing enough cash to cover food & drink at the cafe stop. The ride leader will have puncture repair tools & spares on them, however we also recommend bringing your own.
