Full Stock of E-Bikes for Summer & New Video Reviews

Fully stocked in time for Summer

Several large shipments from Kalkhoff have arrived this month, with enough bikes to meet demand for our most popular models through the height of the season.

Electric bike stock

Best-selling models like the 2016 Agattu Premium 8G with Belt Drive and new Pro Connect 9G (with larger 14.5Ah battery) are available in all frame styles and sizes once more.

The latest Integrale 10-speed is here in good numbers too, as are other Impulse Evo models like the Integrale S11, Integrale S10 and the Include Premium

The new Integrales and Includes all come with our largest 17Ah integrated battery pack, Smart Navigation and more powerful Impulse Evo and Evo RS motors. See our video review story below for more on these models.

We even have a couple of Small and Medium Tasman 17Ah step thru back in stock for the first time in months.

The Tasman is a very well equipped town bike, with 8-speed hub gears, adjustable stem, built-in lock and attractive black and bronze paintwork.

But not so many of these…

However, there are very few of the Pro Connect 10, semi-folding Sahel Compact and Integrale 8 Belt left in stock, only low single figures in certain sizes, none in others.

So, if you’re interested in any of these models, they’re likely to sell out soon. And with good reason, they’ve picked up some glowing, enthusiastic reviews this year.

All prices include VAT and free UK shipping, of course, and all bikes are fully-equipped with lights, luggage rack, kickstand, EU/UK charger, ergonomic handgrips and saddles, 2-year warranty and the support of the Britain’s most experienced e-bike supplier.

Loughborough Showroom

Loughborough Showroom Saturday Opening

One of the best things about our relocation has been the creation of a much-improved, dedicated showroom area. Improved accessibility also means we’ve been able to open on Saturday on a regular basis in Loughborough for the first time.

Anthony, previously manager of our busy Bristol showroom, will be on hand to show you around the bikes, send you off on your test rides and even, so I’m told, offer you a hot drink.

Our Loughborough showroom is open 10am – 4pm tomorrow and every Saturday this Summer.

You have to see these Kalkhoff E-Bike videos from California

New Wheel Include ReviewThe New Wheel electric bike store in San Francisco does a roaring trade in Kalkhoff e-bikes. As you’d expect from a Bay Area business, they’re very slick and have recently produced a series of exceedingly professional and informative video reviews of three key 2016 Kalkhoff models, all of them using the Impulse Evo system.

We’re so impressed we’ve dropped them into the review pages. You can see their Integrale S11, Integrale 8 and Include Premium 8 videos on our respective review pages.

If you’re reading this email on the West Coast of the US, you should definitely pay The New Wheel a visit and give them your business.

Which of our current bikes would you most like to see a video review of on our website? Some of our team are keen to see what we can do.

Electric Mountain Bike Review

Focus Thron 2.0 electric mountain bike at Devil’s Dyke near Brighton
We’ve always put electric bike reviews at the centre of our website. I remember the first review we ever received, from one of our Honda Step Compo owners, back in 2003. But this one is one of the best.

So that’s how 500 miles feels, in a little under 8 weeks I have covered this distance since taking delivery of my Focus electric mountain bike. Continue reading “Electric Mountain Bike Review”

Electric Bike Video Reviews

Electric Bike Review videos
Electric Bike Review have been busy looking at Kalkhoff and FOCUS electric bikes

Kalkhoff and Focus electric bikes have made their way over to the States in recent years and they’re being noticed by reviewers over there. Here is a collection of recent electric bike video reviews of 2015 Kalkhoff and FOCUS electric bikes from Electric Bike Reviews in the USA. Continue reading “Electric Bike Video Reviews”

Electric Mountain Bike vs The South Downs Way: Everybody wins.

Focus Thron Premium Impulse 2.0 Electric Bike
The  Focus Thron Premium Full Suspension Electric Mountain Bike with Impulse 2.0 motor and 17Ah battery pack – also used by the 2014 Kalkhoff electric bike range – picked up ExtraEnergy’s Offroad Award this year. One of them has been sitting in our Shoreham-by-Sea showroom looking menacing and today was the day I decided to take it out on the South Downs Way to see what it can do. “What can’t it do?”, more like! Kalkhoff emerges as European electric bike market leader

Kalkhoff bikes have a deserved reputation for performance, reliability and innovation and they’ve picked up many awards this year from organisations like ExtraEnergy (the Impulse Ergo and Pro Connect Xion were both category winners along with the sold-out Sahel Compact), as well as magazines like ElektroRad in Germany and the Electric Bike Buyer’s Guide here in the UK.

Sahel Harmony electric bike: One year in and still my favourite

Kalkhoff Sahel Harmony Automatic electirc bike

I’ve been riding a Sahel Harmony on an extended test for over a year now, ever since unboxing it at last year’s Eden Project electric bike event. It was one of the very first production electric bikes to use NuVinci’s fully automatic gearbox so I thought it important to see how reliable such a sophisticated piece of cycling technology would be in daily use.
