They invite all their favourite dealers to the island every few years mainly as a “Thank you” but also as an opportunity to introduce new products and ideas. The world of E-MTB’s is a minefield. Two bikes might look very similar on a photograph but can be used for very different purposes. For this reason, we’d recommend researching the subject extensively and getting in touch with one of our electric mountain bike experts for some free advice. Continue reading “E-MTB Buyers Guide”
So you’ve just received your shiny, new electric bike… but before you give it a spin, have you considered getting it insured?
It’s no surprise that electric bikes are fast becoming one of the UK’s favourite modes of transport, but such popularity can also have a downside. With more e-bikes on British roads than ever before; the number of reported thefts is also on the rise and whilst bike theft is bad, e-bike theft is even worse.
The biggest hurdle in buying an electric bike is choosing which motor to go for. There are 100s of companies out there making the motors, hub driven, crank driven, ones you can retrofit, ones which come as standard on a purpose-built bike.
We’re a firm believer that mid-drive trumps all, due to reliability, weight distribution and riding experience

But what about cyclists at the other end of the age scale? Why would a child want to ride an electric bike? Do kids electric bikes even exist? Should they? Continue reading “Riding to School on an Electric Bike”
The Cycle Show 2016 is now in full swing at the Birmingham NEC. We attended our first Cycle Show in London back in 2004 with a somewhat home-made stand. It was actually a great success for us at a time when electric bikes weren’t even really a niche product. Today they’re an established and growing segment of the bicycle market and our early start means we’re still leading the way.
