Hi
We are working on a better manual and quick start guide.
Maybe you can help us on this forum Any suggestions to what any Kalkhoff owners would have liked to have seen on a short video whilst your battery was charging, please feel free to let me know what would have made your life easier on either receipt of the bike or general maintenance during your time of ownership.
Please mention anything from taking the bike out of the box to adjusting the brakes after 6 months use.
Any response welcome!
Cheers
Scott

Perhaps it's not your field but I'm considering fitting a shopping trailer.
Could you advise on type of connection would be best for my Pedelec bike??
Thank You. Herbie Thompson

Hi
We are expanding our accessories and I will put forward your request for a shopping trailer to compliment the Kalkhoff bikes.
Best regards
Scott

Yes, any of the routine maintenance jobs would be very welcome indeed...adjusting the gearshift cable, brake adjustments, bits that need oiling, taking off all the various plastic bits, tightening motor-mount bolts...and all the other things I don't even know about yet! deW

Adjustment of the handlebar height on the Pro C would be welcome.

Boosting the Gamma correction in all these videos might be a good idea. They're all a little on the dark side.

A little late for that, but I have been able to increase the resolution somewhat using a crafty youtube hack

How about weekly, monthly, six monthly etc maintenance routines. Might as well start with the basics.

Distance means many owners will have to carry out their own maintenance and the topics above are essential. Many owners will also change their rear sprocket in order to obtain higher gearing a video on that would be really useful.

How about weekly, monthly, six monthly etc maintenance routines. Might as well start with the basics. And if we're talking really basic, how about something on tyres, especially valves. For each model (Agattu vs. Pro C), what are they called (Woods, Schrader, ...), how crucial is the recommended pressure (i.e. do I need a gauge), what is the best type of pump (bearing portability in mind), etc. I know these issues are dealt with sporadically on the Pedelecs forum but something definitive from 50cycles would give new owners like me a known place to go from the start for this kind of stuff.

Great idea! I am not really good at bike mechanics and would like to learn how to look after my Pro Connect. So basic maintenance stuff and then intermediate stuff (changing gearing) would be very useful! I even had to phone up to check how to put the pedals on the right sides...doh! I'm interested in maybe changing the gearing, BUT have some steep hills on my main commuting route..so should I leave it as standard? I'm also not super fit, so need the hill climbing help from the motor more than help on the flat, although it does seem to be too low geared on long flat runs. Also, can 50cycles recommend bike repair places near Dundee in case I need to get anything fixed/adjusted? Nick Thanks for any inputs on this useful topic.

Seconded... I too would like to see that one as I don't have a clue how to do anything more than grease the outsides of the slides at the moment. I'd also like to see the '5. Removing the back wheel.' When I click on the video stream to start it playing, youtube tells me that it's a pirate video.

The easy way to remove the rear wheel would be of interest I cant view that either. One thing I did learn after changing the rear sprocket to 18T was that the gear shifter has to be in 1st to get the selector to sit in place. I would also be interested to know which way round the rear sprocket should be - dish to the hub or dish out?
