Our patented Twin Loc technology now offers simultaneous control of rear shock travel and fork lockout. The open position allows full travel, front and rear. One click switches the rear shock to Traction mode, while the fork remains fully active. Click again and rear shock and fork lock at the same time. No other bike in the world offers this user friendly system. Found on the Spark & Genius and Genius LT models. Only available for Nude2 shocks on 2013 or previous year models.
The new color display comes in a compact size and is nicely integrated on the handlebar. It provides all the relevant data required during the ride. While the display features full connectivity with Shimano Di2 components it also allows for individual settings for the available information.The switch has been redesigned specifically for mountain bikes. Thanks to the ergonomic design improvements, the switch is now better integrated and offers a similar feel to a gear shifter.
The E-8000 series drive unit has been redesigned to allow for improved integration into current Mountainbike frames. The compact design of the drive unit allows for shorter chain stays and more tire clearance. These features, together with the light weight of the engine pack (below 3.2kg)and a standard Q-factor (175mm), improve the handling and riding feel substantially. Along with a new drive unit Shimano has developed a new stiff and lightweight BB axle with Hollowtech-II technology designed to accommodate E-MTB specific crank-sets. The drive unit achieves a maximum power output of 70Nm and 250W.
The Spark carbon linkage is constructed with a compression moulding process. It’s 37g lighter than the aluminium equivalent and half the weight of the previous Spark linkage. Making the link in two pieces means all excess material ca
