First ride report
Lloyd of 50cycles took the Can-Do 3.0 out on
September 1st and 2nd to test its range and
ride
quality and liked what he found...
'I weigh in around 90kg and still managed 21¾ miles before I ran out of time which left the battery with one bar remaining after 1 hour and 40 minutes of riding. So 25 miles seems realistic before the battery is empty.
'The Can-Do rode very well. Gears were very reliable and accurate, the saddle was very comfy, the V-brakes were surprisingly good, even the handgrips were incredibly comfy. It's worth mentioning the lights are good too as the nights draw in.
'The first leg of my route was 15 to 16 miles, at an average speed 15 mph, then the rest was at slower speeds in and out of traffic. I took it up some good hills this morning near Nanpantan - it climbs quite well with the gears working efficiently with the pedelec. And it wheelies really well too :o)
'What else... the tyres are great (tread design is good with plenty of grip in the wet on the road today) and the bike handles well. The folding mechanism works well, not at all fiddly like some I've tried.
'The electrics seem really well sealed from the wet - it was raining on it earlier. All in all, it's the really good, satisfying electric folding bike we've all been waiting for.'
