Join the 50cycles Kalkhoff Electric Bike Demonstrator Club

We're building a national network of Kalkhoff electric bicycle demonstrators.

Interest in our bikes is at an all-time high, but many people like to see and ride a bike before ordering. So we're looking for owners who know all about Kalkhoff electric bikes to help spread the word.

We ran a similar scheme in 2007 and saw more than 100 owners join the club in a few months, with thousands of test rides taken. This time we've improved the demonstration request system and expanded the range of benefits of demonstration network membership.

We'll issue you with a unique code that saves a new customer £5 when ordering and also logs each bike you helped to sell. This is important because more sales resulting from your demonstrations entitles you to an ascending scale of rewards, including magazine subscriptions, Winkku mirrors, helmets, battery packs and even a whole new electric bike for super-sellers.

You'll have no after-sales obligations at all. Your involvement starts and ends with the demonstration. We will take care of any subsequent orders, customer care or enquiries.

Nor will you be inundated with phone calls and emails. All the initial contacts are directed to us via email. We then check each request for validity, so there's no spam either.

People will enter their postcode on our website and we'll list the nearest two or three demonstrators. We only list each demonstrator's town and area, part of the post code (for example our postcode LE11 5GU would be displayed as LE11 5) and which bike is available.

No demonstrator's name, phone number, email or postal address appears. You can divulge some or all of that when you're setting up the appointment. And of course, you can ask to be taken off the list of demonstrators at any time.

We've run thousands of demonstrations and find that customers ride the bike for as little as two or three minutes before deciding to buy. You might request that a rider leaves something valuable with you as a 'deposit', e.g. their car keys, phone, wallet or spouse, before they set off on a longer ride. When someone requests a demonstration through our site, they do so on the understanding that it is entirely at their own risk.

We plan to launch this as soon as we have 50 demonstrators signed up, which we expect will be in the next two weeks. If you're an enthusiastic Kalkhoff owner - and we know many of you are - we'd be thrilled if you could register and help establish these electric bikes as the number one brand in the UK.
