Each Kalkhoff electric bicycle comes with a no-nonsense 2 year warranty, including motor and battery.
The Impulse centre motor is a durable maintenance- free drive. It is coverd with a two-year warranty
as the batteries and other electical components.

The following are considered wear parts under the statutory warranty and are not coverd: 
Tyres, Rims in connection with rim brakes. Brake pads, Bike chains and toothed belts, Chain wheels, sprockets, bottom brackets and jockey wheels, Lamps in the lighting equipment, Handlebar tape and handle grips, Hydraulic oils and lubricants, Gear-shift and brake cables, Paint finishes, Bearings, Sliding bearings and bearings for full-suspension frames, suspension forks or other suspension elements.


Warranty conditions
You have complied with the inspection and maintenance intervals specified in Kalkhoff maintenance schedule "Regular inspections" . Compliance with the service intervals is a prerequisite for the assertion of warranty claims.

The statutory warranty period is two years. This starts when the bike is handed over by the specialist cycle shop who is also your contact partner for warranty claims.

As proof of purchase and date of handover, please retain the handover document signed by both parties and record of purchase, such as the invoice and/or sales receipt, for the duration of the warranty period.

Non-compatible add-on components that were not part of the scope of delivery at the time the product was handed over, or damage caused by unprofessional installation of these add-on components.

The cause of the change in the product is not wear or ageing arising naturally or as a result of its functions.

The damage was not caused by use of the bike for other than the intended purpose.


Warranty exclusions
A warranty claim applies only for the initial faultiness of the defective part. The following are excluded from the warranty:

Damage caused by use in competitions, improper use and force major.

All parts that are subject to function-related wear, or ageing to a normal, expected extent, unless this is the result of a defect providing this is not a production or material fault.

If you make technical changes to your bike, take the national regulations and applicable standards into account. Bear in mind that this could render your warranty invalid.

Damage caused by incorrect or insufficient care and unprofessional repairs, conversions or replacement of components on the bike. 

Accident damage or damage caused by other external factors, providing this is not attributable to incorrect information or a product error.

Fluctuations in use and battery performance as well as an age-related reduction in capacity are typical and technically unavoidable, and as such do not constitute a fault.

Repairs carried out with used parts or damage that occurs as a consequence of this.

Special equipment or accessories or non-standard equipment; especially technical changes, i.e. to the gearshift system or the bike fork and fame geometries.

Do not remove or change the seatpost or saddle clamp. If you change or modi  components, this renders the warranty invalid this is due to EC Declaration of Conformity that each Kalkhoff bike passes in it’s original state that complies to the relevant requirements of the Machinery Directive and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive.

Kalkhoff offer a 10-year extension to our comprehensive warranty programme for frames of e-bike and s-pedelec models from 2014 onwards. 

Warranty terms
In the event of processing or material faults, which lead to cracking or breakage, appearing on the frame within the 10-year warranty period, please contact your authorised dealer. The warranty only extends to the original (first) owner and is not transferable.

Warranty claims can only be made via your specialist dealer. Your specialist dealer will supply you with a new frame, and will install it for you.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or ageing. Similarly excluded are damage or defects in the paintwork of e-bike frames. Any paintwork damage, which occurs after your specialist dealer has delivered your bike, is not covered by the terms of the warranty or liability for material defects. If the bike has been used for racing or for hire, the warranty does not apply.

The prescribed regular servicing must have been carried out by an authorised dealer and recorded in the service history log.

If your model is no longer included in our product portfolio within the ten-year warranty period, you will receive a suitable replacement model from the existing product range (colour and finish may differ from the original model).

Please indicate the serial number as well. It can be found on the underside of the bottom bracket. You will also find a silver quality sticker in the bottom bracket area of all models, with two nine-digit number sequences. The top number sequence is preceded by the letters „sn“. This is the factory order number (serial number). The second number sequence is preceded by the letters „pn“. This ist he article number, which starts with 61 or 62. The model names are attached to the frame as décors.

To activate your 10-year frame warranty, you must register your model, complete the online form here with all the required details, within 8 (eight) weeks of the date of purchase.

You will then receive a confirmation email.

At this time we do not offer an extension of manufacturers warranty.
We have a network of four stores with fully equipped workshops across the UK in Loughborough,East SheenBristol or Shoreham.
We will of course happily support you outside of any warranty period.
